Businesses are facing growing regulatory pressure from new federal and state laws – from Noncompete to Pay Equity to Silenced No More to the Corporate Transparency Act. This trend has reduced or eliminated legal protections that businesses have historically relied upon and increased their legal exposure, stakeholder demands, and administrative costs. Business leaders must grasp the impact of these trends and devise strategies to bridge the resulting risk gap and protect their businesses.

Participants will gain insights on:

  • New regulations and trends such as noncompete, pay equity, silenced no more, and the Corporate Transparency Act.
  • Impact of and gaps created by these on the business
  • Strategies to address the gaps to protect the business
  • Tools to proactively stay ahead of new rules and trends

Speaker BIO:

Michelle Bomberger is the Founder and CEO of Equinox Business Law Group. She started Equinox with the premise that all businesses deserve to have a General Counsel. Prior to founding Equinox, Michelle worked as a consultant at Ernst & Young and in Internal Audit at AT&T Wireless. Michelle has a finance degree from Notre Dame and an MBA and a law degree from Northwestern University. Michelle serves on the Board of Directors for Bellevue LifeSpring and Youth Theatre Northwest and is the President-Elect of the Seattle Chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, travel, and horseback riding.
