AFWA’s ‘Find A Pro’ Professional Directory, allows the public to search for great partners, and brings a new benefit to your AFWA membership that delivers leads directly to your business.

Who Should Opt-In?
You! AFWA’s Professional Directory not only connects clients with professionals, but also promotes the amazing women working in the accounting and finance industry.
- Small business owners and sole proprietors: your listing is free or low-cost advertising for your business. Bringing you new clients, and further establishing your professional credibility in your community.
- Firm partners and employees: show your employer how your AFWA membership can bring your company more business. Your listing will reflect positively on your employer!
- Corporate and industry professionals: not looking for clients? Your listing will establish you as an industry professional in your community, for possible speaking opportunities or future employment. Your listing also represents women’s advancement in accounting and finance – possibly inspiring students and young professionals looking for a career path.
How to Opt-In
Since this directory is available for public viewing, you must opt-in to be included. Professional listings are available for regular, affiliate, and associate members.
- Basic Listing: Free with AFWA membership
- Opt-in at any time to this basic listing from your membership profile, or within your annual membership renewal
- Includes name, company, industry, areas of practice, phone number, and city
- Premium Listing: $99/year with AFWA membership
- Upgrade to premium at the time of your membership renewal OR at any time using the online store.
- Includes everything from the basic listing, plus your headshot or logo, bio, email, social links, and top of search placement

Step 1: Visit your Member Profile within the AFWA Members Portal
Step 2: Select ‘Edit Primary Info’ to find your directory opt-in options
Note: There are two directories, professional and membership. Your information is available within the AFWA members-only Membership Directory, unless you opt-out. Your information will only be available within the public Professional Directory after you opt-in. Both directories pull information from your membership profile.
If you have recently upgraded to a premium business listing using the online store, you may have to update your settings here.
Step 3: Be sure to update all your profile information to ensure you are accurately represented in the directory. Additional instructions down the page.
- Edit Primary Info: to update name and employer information
- Add/Edit Bio: to add a bio for the premium listing
- Edit Demographics: to select your searchable areas of practice
- Edit Contact Info: to update phone and email information (note: your primary email will be used for both your directory listing as well as any AFWA communications and your login.
- Edit Social Links: to add social sites for premium listings
How to Update Your Membership Profile
Ensure your AFWA Membership profile is up to date – this is the information potential clients will view.
- Visit your Membership Profile here (you may be prompted to login if not already)
- There are several places within your profile you can edit, see the image below for cues:
- Tell potential clients who you are in your bio. Share information about your business or details about your own experience.
- The demographic section hold important details about your areas of practice and industry that will help potential clients find you.
- Don’t want to post a headshot? Include your business logo.
- The same for your social links, if you don’t want to share your personal information, you can share your business pages.
