This will be a comprehensive and collaborative forum aimed at enhancing the growth and effectiveness of a AFWA’s chapters and its members.
- Introduction and Overview: Begin with an introduction to the purpose and goals of the session. We will highlight the importance of chapter and member development within AFWA.
- Sharing Best Practices: Facilitate a discussion where representatives from different chapters share their best practices for member recruitment, engagement, and retention. Encourage participants to discuss successful strategies and innovative approaches.
- Identifying Challenges: Allow participants to openly discuss the challenges they face in developing chapters and fostering member growth. This could include issues such as limited resources, communication barriers, or changing demographics.
- Brainstorming Solutions: Encourage collaborative problem-solving by facilitating a brainstorming session. Participants can suggest potential solutions to the challenges identified earlier, drawing from their collective experiences and expertise.
- Training and Development Opportunities: Provide information on available training and development resources that chapters can utilize to enhance their operations and support their members. This could include online courses, workshops, mentoring programs, etc.
- Utilizing Technology: Discuss the role of technology in chapter and member development. Explore how chapters can leverage digital tools and platforms for communication, collaboration, and member engagement.
- Establishing Goals and Action Plans: Encourage each chapter representative to set specific goals for their chapter’s development and outline actionable steps to achieve them. Emphasizing the importance of accountability and regular progress monitoring.
- Networking and Collaboration: Allocate time for networking and relationship-building among participants. Encourage chapters to collaborate on joint initiatives and projects that promote mutual growth and success.
- Q&A and Feedback: In conclusion we will have a Q&A segment where participants can seek clarification on any topics discussed. Also, solicit feedback from participants to gather insights on the session’s effectiveness and areas for improvement.
- Follow-up and Support: Provide ongoing support and resources to chapters following the session. This could include follow-up meetings, mentoring opportunities, or access to additional training materials.
We hope by structuring the session in this way, owe can create a dynamic and engaging forum for chapter leaders to exchange ideas, overcome challenges, and collectively work towards enhancing the development of both their chapters and members.
